The global accelerator pedal module market reached a volume of around 360 million units in 2018. Accelerator pedals are a component of accelerators that are used to regulate the supply of fuel into the combustion chamber. They are ready-to-install units consisting of pedal-travel sensor, and idle and full-load stops. They use sensors to detect the amount of pedal depression and transfer the signal to the engine control unit (ECU). The pedal travel sensor also records the movement and position of the accelerator pedal. The ECU uses this information to calculate the required torque and addresses the throttle device and the injection system. Looking forward, IMARC Group expects the market volumes to reach 438 Million units by 2024, registering a CAGR of around 3% during 2019-2024.
Global Accelerator Pedal Module Market Drivers:
The earlier versions of these module were mostly made of metal and covered with rubber which not only made them heavy but also increased the possibility of corrosion. Nowadays, manufacturers are focusing on developing lightweight components for vehicles owing to the stringent government rules to meet emission standards. The advancements in material development technology have further led to the production of accelerator pedals from polyamide 6 which is lightweight and cost effective in nature.
The developed regions such as North America and Europe have a concentration of the world’s largest automotive manufacturers which have access to more developed equipment, strong R&D capabilities and modern technical expertise. As a result, mechanical accelerators have been completely replaced by electronic accelerator pedals in these regions. Additionaly, the increasing use of sensor-based accelerators is expected to be a major driving factor for the growth of the market.
With the rapid development and industrialization in Asia, Africa and the Middle East, the automotive industry has been experiencing healthy growth. The increasing demand for automotive accelerator pedal modules for the manufacturing of passenger cars and commercial vehicles in these regions is providing a positive thrust to the growth of the overall market.

The global hemoglobin testing market was worth US$ 1.7 Billion in 2018. A hemoglobin test measures the count of red blood cells (RBC) or the level of hemoglobin in the blood. Hemoglobin is a type of protein present in the RBCs that carries oxygen to the organs and transports carbon dioxide back to the lungs. Hemoglobin tests are used extensively by doctors as a part of their routine check-ups or to diagnose a serious medical condition in the patient. If a test reveals that the hemoglobin level in an individual’s body is lower than normal, it means that they have a low RBC count and are prone to disorders such as anemia. If the RBC count is higher than normal, it could be an indication for a blood disorder or can be caused by living at a high altitude, smoking and dehydration. The key end users of hemoglobin testing market are medical laboratories, hospitals and research centers.
An increasing prevalence of chronic disorders such as anemia and diabetes represent a key factor driving the global hemoglobulin testing market. In 2018, an estimated 490 Million people around the world suffered from diabetes. The prevalence of diabetes is currently being catalysed by an increasing ageing population, poor dietary habits, sedentary lifestyles and rising levels of obesity. Patients suffering from diabetes need to undergo tests to measure blood glucose and HbA1c levels regularly, driving the demand for such tests. Moreover, factors such as favourable reimbursement of hemoglobin testing under various health insurance policies is also catalyzing the growth of the market. However, in many countries, medical insurance doesn’t fully reimburse the cost of hemoglobin testing, but with partial payment and other coverages, consumers are increasingly adopting regular and periodic tests in order to check and maintain their overall health. Furthermore, factors such as improving health infrastructure, increasing per capita expenditure on health care, rising awareness for blood-related ailments, ageing population, technological advancements, etc. are also projected to drive the global hemoglobin testing market in the coming years. Looking forward, IMARC Group expects the market to reach a value of US$ 2.8 Billion by 2024, registering a CAGR of 8.5% during 2019-2024.

The global ophthalmic lasers market was worth US$ 1,069 Million in 2018. The ophthalmic laser is a medical equipment that is used to operate on ophthalmic disorders and to treat cells present in the eye. The laser beam emitted from the device is a source of clear and monochromatic light that focuses on a particular spot in the eye. It is an effective tool for clinical and therapeutic procedures. Ophthalmic lasers are used for a variety of disorders and procedures such as cataract surgery, posterior capsulotomy, retinal photocoagulation, laser trabeculoplasty, laser iridotomy, etc.
The rising demand for economical, harmless and pain-free ophthalmic laser therapies coupled with a rising global geriatric population represents key factors driving this market. The increasing incidences of chronic and communicable eye diseases has increased the consumer awareness for laser treatments in order to prevent blindness and visual impairment. Additionally, the demand for ophthalmic lasers is catalyzed by the growing geriatric population suffering from old-age related problems such as diabetic eye diseases, glaucoma, cataract, etc. Moreover, technological progression in procedures has enhanced the accuracy and success rates of ophthalmic laser surgeries, further creating a positive impact on the market. Furthermore, factors such as extensive R&D in the laser eye-care segment, escalating concerns for vision-health management, increasing number of ophthalmic clinics and hospitals, etc, are also contributing significantly to the growth of the market. Looking forward, IMARC Group expects the market to reach a value of US$ 1,353 Million by 2024, registering a CAGR of around 4% during 2019-2024.

The global dental implants market was valued at US$ 4.1 billion in 2018. Dental implants are artificial tooth roots that are used to support false teeth and tooth bridges. They are frames made of biocompatible metals such as zirconia and titanium which are surgically placed in the jawbone beneath the gums to provide stable support for artificial teeth. This secures the dentures and bridges and give a more natural feel as compared to conventional dentures. Currently, three types of dental implants are available in the market. Endosteal implants, that are grafted into the tissue to which the bridge or denture is attached. Subperiosteal implants that are attached under the gum tissue but with a protruding metal frame over which the artificial tooth is attached and transosteal implant in which a U-shaped metal frame is passed through the jaw bone and gum tissue.
The increasing occurrence of oral health problems such as dental caries, periodontal diseases, and tooth decay is among the key factors driving the global dental implants market. Additionally, introduction of prosthetics has played a major role in driving the demand for dental implants as it helps in re-establishing oral movements and facial structure of the patient. Moreover, dental implants have assisted in reducing the discomfort and maintenance procedures while simultaneously enhancing the aesthetics for the consumer. Furthermore, factors such as Improper oral hygiene among children and adults, rising geriatric population, increasing demand for cosmetic dentistry, growing dental tourism in emerging countries and increasing disposable incomes of consumers are further expected to drive the dental implants market. Looking forward, IMARC Group expects the market to reach a value of US$ 5.5 Billion by 2024, registering a CAGR of around 5 % during 2019-2024.
