Vietnam has been the major cashew producer in the Asia-Pacific since 1990. Cashew is mainly grown as a cash crop in the country. The Vietnam Cashew Association (VINACAS) is responsible for the growth and development of the cashew industry in the country.
The cashew crop is grown in 300,000 ha in Vietnam, with an average productivity of 1,000 kg/ha. The major cashew nut producing areas in Vietnam are Dak Nong, Dak Lak, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Long An, Kien Giang, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dong Nai. Binh Phuoc accounts for half of the cashew production in the country. The country has also evolved as the second largest cashew processor in the region as well as globally, with an annual capacity of 1.2 million metric tons.
Due to an ongoing supply crunch caused by the lower production in Vietnam and Western African markets, the global cashew prices are expected to continue to escalate in the near future. Shippers of RCN have negotiated new prices with sellers in Vietnam. Vietnam is currently focusing on increasing its productivity from 1,700 kg to 2,000 kg per ha, as disposed land for cashew production is limited in the country.

Vietnam Wind Energy Market
The market which is estimated to be USD XX billion in 2016, is expected to grow to USD XX billion by 2021, at a CAGR of XX percent.
Escalating demand for renewable energy, favourable government policies and decreasing cost of equipment has helped the rise of wind energy market size and is driving the wind power equipment market. The growing power demand and the cost of wind energy, especially from onshore wind farms is reducing due to the increase in the installations across the globe. This has made wind power an attractive option for governments wanting to cut down emissions.
The major restraining factor for the wind energy is the availability of fossil fuels. The investment required is high and the power generation is comparatively low compared to the conventional sources. Also, the intermittent nature of wind power makes it unreliable. However, wind power technology is fast progressing, and thus becoming cheaper and the developments for various wind systems like power storage technologies are increasing, which helps in the growth of the wind power market.
Vietnam wind power market report comprehensively analyses the market by segmenting it based on location (onshore and offshore) and technology of the wind turbines (horizontal axis wind turbine market and vertical axis wind turbine market). Key drivers and restraints that are affecting the growth of this market are also discussed in detail. This report also has key project information, which includes both pipeline and upcoming projects. The study elucidates on the competitive landscape and key market players (domestic and foreign) as well.

Vietnam Feed Concentrate Market
The Vietnam feed concentrate market was valued at USD 2.07 billion in 2017, and is expected to register a CAGR of 4.97%, during the forecast period.
The consumption of feed in the country has grown simultaneously with the expansion of the livestock sector, and about 20 billion metric ton of animal feed is consumed every year. Of the total feed consumed, 13.3 billion metric ton is industrial feed and 6.3 billion metric ton is self-made feed.
Demand-supply Gap in Protein Sources for Animal Feed Restraining the Vietnam Feed Concentrate Market
Amino acid, a form of protein, is an important component added to feed concentrates for feeding the final product to animals. Presently, Vietnam imports a large amount of input materials, like protein for feed processing. In future, the demand for animal feed and feedstuff is likely to continually increase, due to the growth of livestock production, particularly by large-scale commercial farms. At present, Vietnam produces protein supplements in the range of 0.5 million metric ton to 1 million metric ton.
The deficit in the protein demand for feed in the year 2018, is 15 million metric ton and is estimated to increase to 16.9 million metric ton, by 2020. Hence, the domestic demand for protein in the manufacturing of feed concentrates is expected to increase the import of amino acids in the country, which, in turn, is expected to increase the price of feed concentrates in the country.
Energy Feed Accounts for the Largest Segment in Vietnam Feed Concentrate Market
The segment was estimated at USD 1.21 billion in 2017. Medium- to large-scale farmers usually use industrial feed to raise livestock (pigs, cows, and poultry), in order to ensure the quality of meat, milk, and egg as well as to reduce the risk of diseases. Small scale farmers use industrial feed in critical phases of livestock development (piglets, breeding pigs, etc.), but in other phases, they often use ingredients like rice bran of cassava to produce self-made feed, in order to save costs.
Oil cake from large-scale oil mills is often used as an ingredient in compound animal feeds. Some seeds, such as castor beans and yield oil cakes are not suitable for direct incorporation into animal feed, as they contain toxic substances.
Major Players: EuromiX, Cargill Inc., Nutreco, Mixscience, and Dachan Food, among others.
