Price Tracking & Census


  • The price of wholesale and retail for all food categories (300,000 SKUs) was monitored from February 2002 to December 2005 using Quick Price, an interactive data input and processing software. The result helped Metro to determine the most suitable price for their customers.
  • Exploring the potential of Mekong Delta market for Metro core products, including vegetables, fruits, meat and fish from May 2003 to June 2004.
  • Canvassing/Re-canvassing of new customers and existing customers of 500,000 in total, in order to update its customer base in HCM, Hanoi, and Buon Me Thuot cities (2009-2010).
  • Exploring the potential of Thai Nguyen, Kien Giang, Tien Giang provinces and HN market for Metro’s new stores (2/2010-6/2011)
  • Today, Metro has changed its name into Mega Market and operates at least one store in all key cities across the country.
